Chemical Technician - Infineum

Jobs Description:

• Ensure the safe and optimal of processing equipment in the field and process control consoles.
• Perform structured rounds (field and process control consoles) and troubleshooting and include initiating corrective actions to ensure safe operations of process of units.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform unit shutdown, start-up and be part of emergency response team.
• Go through a technician training and progression program and OJT to acquire technical knowledge and skills in process operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'O' or 'N' level passes in English, Mathematics and a Science or a good Diploma/NITEC in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Process Technology. No Prior working experience is required.
• Additional compensation will be accorded to those with higher qualifications.
• Must be prepared to work in 2 cycle shifts.
• An effective team player with good communication skills.

 Job description:

• Assist with the daily supervision of contractors in and out processing.
• Perform protective and enforcement duties to ensure safety of staff and contract workers in the shipyard, as well as ensure all visitors exchange passes upon entry into the premises.
• Co-ordinate and lead responses to emergency situations such as fire, safety hazard, threats to life and shipyard property.
• Conduct rounds to ensure orderliness and safety in the shipyard.
• Be vigilant at all times to identity any suspicious person, parcel or vehicle by noting their characteristics and alert security manager.

Requirements:

Must be able to perform shift duties (12 hours)

Physically fit with healthy eyesight and hearing

Understand simple english
